WFP Assistance Packages to most Vulnerable households
Cash is one of the most effective ways for FCDO to help families to fight hunger, malnutrition and improve their food security. Where markets and financial sectors are functioning, putting money directly into people?s hands helps them to buy what they need. It gives them greater choice and independence.
Assistance packages were distributed to vulnerable families in the Arghandab district of Zabul province. In this distribution, a total of 859 vulnerable households including ( 829 men and 30 women) received packages containing essential food items such as 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of cooking oil, 6.25 kg of yellow split peas, and half a kilogram of salt. Additionally, Children have received malnutrition food to prevent malnutrition, and breastfeeding and pregnant women have received nutrition foods.
This food distribution was attended by the Zabul Rural Rehabilitation and Development Directorate deputy, Arghandab district representatives, and TPM.
Moreover, FCDO raised awareness of the importance of polio vaccination to protect every child from this devastating disease and gave them comprehensive information about polio.
Assistance packages were distributed to vulnerable families in the Qalat district of Zabul province. In this distribution, a total of 1350 vulnerable households including ( 1245 men and 105 women) and 161 returnees received packages containing essential food items such as 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of cooking oil, 6.25 kg of yellow split peas, and half a kilogram of salt.
This food distribution was attended by the Zabul Rural Rehabilitation and Development Directorate deputy, Qalat district representatives, and TPM.
Moreover, FCDO raised awareness of the importance of polio vaccination to protect every child from this devastating disease and gave them comprehensive information about polio.
𝐖𝐅𝐏 cash assistance with the technical cooperation of the Friends Community Development Organization.
Cash assistance was distributed to vulnerable families in the Qalat district of Zabul province. In this distribution, a total of 1511 vulnerable households and 161 returnees received 3200 AFN.
The distribution was attended by the Zabul Rural Rehabilitation and Development Directorate deputy, Qalat district representatives, and TPM.

Assistance packages (ration of four months) are being distributed to vulnerable families in the Arghandab district of Zabul province. In this distribution, a total of 859 vulnerable households including (832 men and 27 women) have received packages containing essential food items such as 200 kg of flour, 18.2 kg of cooking oil, 25 kg of yellow split peas, and 2 kg of salt. Additionally, children have been provided with malnutrition food to prevent malnutrition, and breastfeeding and pregnant women have received nutrition foods.
Cash assistance is being distributed to vulnerable families in the Namro park village of Zabul province. In this distribution, a total of 1350 vulnerable households have received 3200 AFN.
The people expressed their happiness and appreciated the leadership of the respective organization FCDO and asked for continued assistance.
Today, August 23, 2023, a series of assistance packages distributions to most vulnerable families in the Qalat and Tarnak Jeldak (Shahre Safa) districts of Zabul province began.
In this distribution, a total of 2608 vulnerable families have received assistance packages containing basic foodstuffs such as 50 kg of flour, 4.55 kg of Cooking oil, 6.25 kg of yellow splits peas, half a kilogram Salt. Additionally, 2577 Children have received malnutrition food to prevent malnutrition, and 1130 breastfeeding and pregnant women have received nutrition foods.
The people expressed their happiness and appreciated the leadership of the respective organization FCDO and asked for continued assistance.
All the people who came were given public awareness by the polio team about polio.
On, July 13, 2023, with the financial support of the World Food Programme (WFP), a series of assistance packages distributions to vulnerable families in the Qalat and Tarnak Jeldak (Shahre Safa) districts of Zabul province began.
The evaluation and monitoring of the Qalat district of Zabul province was attended by FCDO director Engineer Khalil Rahman Asad and the provincial manager of the organization.

In this distribution, a total of 453 vulnerable families have received assistance packages containing basic foodstuffs such as 50 kg of flour , 4.55 kg of Cooking oil , 6.25 kg of yellow split peas , half a kilogram Salt. Additionally, 448 Children have received malnutrition food to prevent malnutrition, and 140 breastfeeding and pregnant women have received nutrition foods.

On May 30,2023, FCDO has done the distribution of assistance packages. With the financial support of the World Food Programme (WFP), a series of distributions to vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul province began.

Additionally, Children have received malnutrition food to prevent malnutrition, and breastfeeding and pregnant women have received nutrition foods.

On May 19,2023, FCDO has done the distribution of assistance packages. With the financial support of the World Food Programme (WFP), a series of distributions to vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul province began.

Additionally, children have received malnutrition food to prevent malnutrition, and breastfeeding and pregnant women have received nutrition foods.

On (6/2/2023), The Scope Reg. officers were trained by WFP for necessary skills such as How to interact, How to do data entry and food distribution.
On (31/1/2023), FCDO has done the distribution of Cash assistance to 6295 vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul Province. The people expressed their happiness and appreciated the leadership of FCDO and asked for continued assistance. WFP, in collaboration with FCDO, aims to distribute Cash assistance to vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul province. January month distribution of cash assistance in Qalat district was completed.
On (31/1/2023), FCDO has done the distribution of Cash assistance to 6295 vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul Province. The people expressed their happiness and appreciated the leadership of FCDO and asked for continued assistance. WFP, in collaboration with FCDO, aims to distribute Cash assistance to vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul province. January month distribution of cash assistance in Qalat district was completed.
FCDO conducted dated (30/1/2023), WFP Cash Assistance (4300 AF) to 2014 Vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul province.
FCDO conducted dated (29/1/2023), WFP Cash Assistance (4300 AF) to 1050 Vulnerable households in Qalat district of Zabul province.
These assistances were distributed to a total of 6295 vulnerable households for three months from Jan to Mar and the amount of our assistances is not fixed.
